This event takes you from the low-lying vineyards of the Hex Valley up the escarpment to the Karoo Plateau. From there the routes follow the old Hex River Pass railway line towards Matroosberg station, completing a circular loop back to De Doorns.
The 55 km route is tough with lots of climbing and should only be attempted by fit, experienced riders. The 35 km route follows most of the long route, but cuts out one tough hilly loop. Both routes include great footpath/single track sections. The 15 km route is an enjoyable funride over mostly flat terrain and is suitable for the novice rider. (more…)
The 42 km and 29 km route riders can look forward to a scenic ride through the vineyards and over undulating hills in the Robertson Valley.
The 42 km route is a rewarding route for fit riders, as this route includes challenging and technical climbs and descents. Only experienced riders should attempt the long route. The 29 km route, on the other hand, is a pleasant meander through vineyards and over gentle hills and is not as technical as the 42 km route. Expect a combination of jeep and single track sections on both. The 12 km route consists only of jeep tracks and is suitable for children and novices. (more…)
Route Description
Saturday: The 93 km Enduro which will take riders over the winding Rooiberg Pass and through the Assegaaybosch Nature reserve. Other fun events are available with distances of 45 km and a fun ride of 15 km.
Sunday: The mountain bike time trial over 32 km will begin in the afternoon there will be a X-Country race on a challenging track trough the resort. This forms part of the Provincial X-Country series. (more…)

The Kluitjieskraal MTB route, in between Worcester and Ceres, is renowned for its spectacular scenery and challenging uphills – some of which climb to 400 m above sea level, followed by rocky, technical descents on narrow jeep tracks/single-track. It takes the rider into unknown forest and mountain territory. It is a water-rich route, which passes through the MTO forestry reserve and traverses the Waterval Mountains twice. Be prepared for water crossings – you could get your feet wet! The 64 km route is challenging and includes steep climbs and sharp ascents and single-track. The 44 km is “pretty” but tough, while the 22 km is a family-friendly ride, with a steep hill at the beginning and wonderful views over the valley. The untimed 5 km is a kiddies’ fun ride, ages 4 to 8 and 9 -13 years, through the farms adjacent to the school grounds. (more…)
