With the aim of developing local cycling talent, we have established a new Junior High-Performance Academy to support and nurture promising youngsters between the ages of 16 and 18 years of age.
And, to further motivate and evaluate those selected into the academy, they will be invited to a PPA Junior High Performance camp where the top performer during the camp will be given the opportunity to continue his or her training abroad.
Step 1 We have set out some key entrance requirements for young riders wanting to be a part of the academy:
- You must be born between 2001 and 2003
- Submit a letter motivating why you should be included in the academy
- Include a CV of your recent and previous race results
- Any previous performance testing data would be an added advantage
Step 2 A selection committee will then evaluate all applications and, on 15 July 2019, it will announce those selected for the third edition of the PPA High Performance Academy.
Please send motivating letters to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than 15 June 2019.
