NEW EVENT! Traverse the scenic Tulbagh Valley from its town centre across the slopes of the Western Obiqua Mountains, Northern Winterhoek Mountains, Eastern and Southern Witzenberg Mountains, along farm roads, through orchards, forests, nature reserves, across mountain tracks and single tracks. Parts of the route include stretches of the Absa Cape Epic and MTN National MTB routes, but during this event, the routes will traverse all of Tulbagh’s surrounding mountains in a clockwise direction.
70km – Will test the fit and technically experienced riders with over 1700m climbing and a variety of farms roads, Jeep & single track that guarantee spectacular views along the way. The route is designed to include maximum variety and cover as much of the valley as possible without repeating unnecessary areas. A test of endurance and strength for advanced riders.
40km – Designed to test the intermediate riders along the same farm roads, Jeep & single tracks as the 75km, but excluding the most intense climbs and detours, includes over 700m climbing. Stunning scenery is guaranteed.
20km – Is an untimed event for novice or young riders who are considering MTB as a hobby or sport and want a taste of mountain biking. Designed as a safe and enjoyable challenge, but without the technical or physical challenges of the 40km or 75km events. Please note that riders under 10 must be accompanied by an adult rider.
